Upper Murray Community Garage, a social enterprise workshop in Walwa, Victoria is looking for a mechanic for automotive, agricultural & marine work.

The ideal candidate will be experienced, reliable and passionate about the industry.

Applicants must have:

  • a current Trade Certificate in any relevant field
  • the knowledge and ability to be immediately productive with automotive repairs & maintenance
  • good communication skills
  • a positive attitude
  • the ability to organise work and meet deadlines
  • the ability to follow instructions and adhere to safe work practices
  • enthusiasm to instruct and train apprentices
  • competence in any or all of electronics, diagnostics, diesel, petrol, small and big engines, fitting and balancing tyres; wheel alignments and welding
  • a current driver’s license

Part time position (3-4 days per week), above award wages, good working conditions and the opportunity to experience a broad range of work with a dynamic business focusing on employment & training.  Assistance with housing if required.
